Procedure |
| 1. |
Passengers
entering the Republic of China through the C.K.S. International
Airport may apply for a landing visa at the Visa Office of Consular
Affairs Bureau at the C.K.S. International Airport. |
| 2. |
Passengers
who enter the Republic of China through the Kaohsiung International
Airport but are not eligible for visa-exemption program shall
apply for a "temporary entry permit" at the Kaohsiung
Aviation Police Station for temporary permits. These passengers
must change the permit to a visa at the Bureau of Consular Affairs
or its Kaohsiung Office within three days, or will be subjected
to administrative penalty for overstaying. |

The 30
days' duration of stay starts from the next day of arrival and
is not extendable. |

Resident Visa |
| Foreign nationals, who hold
ordinary passports or other legal travel documents, who intend
to stay in Taiwan, the Republic of China for more than six months
for the purpose of joining family, pursuing studies, accepting
employment, making investments, doing missionary work, or engaging
in other permissible activities. |

form with TWO passport photos. |

Supporting documents or
official letters of approval from a competent authority of the
ROC (eg. Household of Registry, Marriage Certificate, etc.). |

| Duration of Stay |
| Resident Visa holders are
required to apply for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) at theImmigration
Agency service centre nearest to their residence in the Taiwan
within 15 days after their arrival. They can stay in Taiwan as
long as the ARC remains valid. |

| NOTE |
| 1. |
The supporting documents
must be legalized by our office. If the documents are issued by
the organizations outside New Zealand, must be certified by the
Taiwanese authority in that country |
| 2. |
If entered Taiwan, the
ROC with Visitor Visa are subsequently legally employed in Taiwan,
you may make the necessary change from your Visitor Visa into
a Resident Visa in Taiwan directly. |
| 3. |
The above regulations do
not apply to blue collar workers or those who enter Taiwan via
the visa exemption programme. |
