  A.Single Entry Visa
(For who intend to stay in Taiwan, Republic of China for less than six months for the purpose of transit, tourism, visiting family, study or training, business, technical assistance, medical treatment, etc.)
 
 Requirement
1.
A passport valid for at least six months.
2.
A confirmed return air ticket or an itinerary.
3.
A completed application form.
4.
TWO passport size photos.
5.
Bank statement or document of financial support.
6.
Visa fee NZ$72 (can only paid by cash or cheque).
7.
Other relevant document.
8.
A self addressed courier bag for returning your passport.
   
It normally takes two working days to process a visa.
   
If Visitor Visa holders whose visas bear no such remark as "no extension will be granted" wish to extend their stay in Taiwan may apply at the nearest city/county police headquarters for a maximum of 120 or 90 days of extensions.

  B.Multiple Visa (For business purposes only)
This visa normally allows multiple entries and is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
1.
A passport valid for at least six months.
2.
A confirmed return air ticket or an itinerary.
3.
A completed application form.
4.
A passport size photo.
5.
A letter from the company stating the purpose of the trip.
6.
Visa fee NZ$144 (can only paid by cash or cheque).
7.
Bank statement and other relevant document.
8.
A self addressed courier bag for returning your passport
 
It normally takes two working days to process a visa

  C.Visa Exemption
 Eligible countries for application:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Czec Republic, U.K. and U.S.A.
   
 Requirements:
1.
A passport valid for at least six months (unless otherwise stipulated by treaty or agreement).
2.
A confirmed return air ticket and a visa for the next destination
3.
No criminal record verified by the airport police
   
 Duration of Stay
30 days duration of stay started from the next day of arrival and no extension is permitted.
   
 Ports of Entry
C.K.S. International Airport, Kaohsiung International Airport, Keelung Harbour, Hualien Harbour, Taichung Harbour, Kaohsiung Harbour, Taitung Airport and Taichung Airport.

  D. Landing Visa
 Eligible Countries:
Hungary, Poland and Slovak.
   
 Requirements
1.
A passport valid for at least six months (unless otherwise stipulated by treaty or agreement)
2.
A confirmed return air ticket and a visa for the next destination
3.
A completed application form with passport TWO photos
4.
Visa fee of NT$ 1,200 (citizens of countries with reciprocal agreements shall be issued visas gratis) plus a handling fee of NT$ 800; For U.S. citizens: Visa application fee of NT$3,600 plus a handling fee of NT$800
5.
No criminal record verified by the airport police
   
 Duration of Stay
30 days duration of stay started from the next day of arrival and no extension is permitted.
   
 Ports of Entry
C.K.S. International Airport, Kaohsiung International Airport
   
 Application Procedure
1.
Passengers entering the Republic of China through the C.K.S. International Airport may apply for a landing visa at the Visa Office of Consular Affairs Bureau at the C.K.S. International Airport.
2.
Passengers who enter the Republic of China through the Kaohsiung International Airport but are not eligible for visa-exemption program shall apply for a "temporary entry permit" at the Kaohsiung Aviation Police Station for temporary permits. These passengers must change the permit to a visa at the Bureau of Consular Affairs or its Kaohsiung Office within three days, or will be subjected to administrative penalty for overstaying.
3.
The 30 days' duration of stay starts from the next day of arrival and is not extendable.

  E. Resident Visa
Foreign nationals, who hold ordinary passports or other legal travel documents, who intend to stay in Taiwan, the Republic of China for more than six months for the purpose of joining family, pursuing studies, accepting employment, making investments, doing missionary work, or engaging in other permissible activities.
   
 Requirements:
1.
A passport valid for at least SIX months.
2.
A completed application form with TWO passport photos.
3.
Supporting documents or official letters of approval from a competent authority of the ROC (eg. Household of Registry, Marriage Certificate, etc.).
4.
The recent original police record.
5.
Health Report (requirements for Health Report)
6.
Other relevant documents
7.
NZ$95 for single entry
   
 Duration of Stay
Resident Visa holders are required to apply for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) at theImmigration Agency service centre nearest to their residence in the Taiwan within 15 days after their arrival. They can stay in Taiwan as long as the ARC remains valid.
   
 NOTE
1.
The supporting documents must be legalized by our office. If the documents are issued by the organizations outside New Zealand, must be certified by the Taiwanese authority in that country
2.
If entered Taiwan, the ROC with Visitor Visa are subsequently legally employed in Taiwan, you may make the necessary change from your Visitor Visa into a Resident Visa in Taiwan directly.
3.
The above regulations do not apply to blue collar workers or those who enter Taiwan via the visa exemption programme.
